DESIGN
Our
journey begins with our in-house design team. Our designers
have been trained in Germany and Italy in pattern making and
product development. The prototype designs are conceptualized
and designed keeping in mind new styles. Various changes are
constantly added to the shoe both on the upper and sole design,
which has a bearing on the style of the final shoe. Our summer
and winter collections are prepared well in advance of the
season and are available on display in leather fairs at Las-
Vegas in the U.S, and Garda in Italy round the year.
TANNERY
Our focus is mainly on cow and sheep leather. We import
WETBLUE for most of our requirements to meet high quality
requirements of our final shoe. We also use NUBUCK, NAPPA, OILY
NUBUCK, FLOATER and other kinds of cow leather in varying
thickness ranging from 1.0mm and 2.2mm. Our tanning operations
are done in a fully integrated tanning unit that is geared to
meet stringent effluent standards. European effluent norms are
complied with, and this absolutely eliminates the use of
banned chemicals. We are proud to say that many of our
customers use our leather as a benchmark for sourcing leather
from other suppliers.
PRODUCTION
Today we have a fully integrated manufacturing unit having quality and process control which are monitored using our in-house stringent norms. We have a manufacturing area of about 35000 sq. ft. where German Production Standards are adopted which enables us to simultaneously run multiple styles of shoes through the same line.
EMPLOYEES
Like any work of art is only as good as the artist, the making
of shoes requires highly skilled labour. We have 250 skilled
and dedicated associates who have gone through hard and soft
skill training modules to improve their productivity and
quality of the final product. We follow a fair labour practice
in our facility.
SYSTEM INTEGRATION
We have installed a state of the art ERP system that was
custom designed for our requirements. This helps us have a
tight check on production schedules, just in time inventory,
work in progress information apart from various statistical
analysis on rejections, material consumption patterns and
management information.
WAREHOUSING
Our warehouse integrated to our manufacturing facility ensures
that final product is protected from the effects of nature and
we ensure all finished goods and properly stored until the
order is fully completed and ready for export. Since our
manufacturing unit is located in Chennai we are close to sea
and air ports and our thorough knowledge on India's export
procedures ensures that the shipment reach our customers
always on time.
FULFILLMENT SERVICES
As the parent company also operates a fully integrated print
house, our shoe division has the in-house capability of designing and printing, packing and logo material for our
customers and also capable of providing drop shipment services to our clients to ensure that individual packages reach the ultimate store locations across the world.
